The secret to successful Facebook ads

I was scrolling through Netflix the other day and stumbled across one (of the many reasons) they have been very successful.

A film I’d previously not given a second thought, suddenly had a new cover image  / thumbnail.

This caught my attention and gave me a new perspective on what it might be like.

(Yes, I do judge a book/film by it’s cover…I think we all do!)

The simple act of changing the image made me take action and watch a film I’d previously ignored.

This technique can be applied to your business and the Facebook ads you run.

If you are not getting the results you want, or your results are slowing down…

Change it up!

Try a new image, try new text. Do something that will catch people’s eye as they mindlessly scroll.

Facebook themselves encourage you to do this after a while.

If you’ve been running the same ad for a couple of months, Facebook will tell you that you’re in danger of your audience seeing the same ad too many times.

They describe it as creative fatigue.

Facebook state:

‘’Creative fatigue occurs when a target audience has seen the same creative too many times. People may be less likely to engage with your ad, which can lead to a higher cost per result.’’

So, don’t do what I’ve done in the past and leave the same ad running for too long.

Change it up on a regular basis and you’ll get much better results!
