10 books to help you smash life and business in 2022

As the year comes to an end, I thought I’d put together a quick list of the best books I’ve read this year.

Whether you read them, or listen to them on Audible, I’m sure there is something here that can help your business:

  1. Big Enough, by Lee Lefever – This book shows you how to identify what you really want from your business…and how to get it! Not everyone wants to become a huge business with lots of employees. If you want to keep your business deliberately small, this book will help you get more from it. And stop you from being constantly rushed off your feet! – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3rvtb2e
  2. The millionaire next door, by Thomas J Stanley – Making money is one thing. Knowing how to manage it, and make it work for you is quite another. If you find yourself in a trap where no matter what you earn, you have little money left at the end of the year, this book will help. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/31ugNob
  3. The Thank you economy, by Gary Vaynerchuk – If you want to know how to get more from social media and how to run a business thatwill move with the times, this is the one. In fact, I highly recommend you read anything and everything this guy writes! – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3Em1M6C
  4. The specialist decorator, by Pete Wilkinson – Most decorators know Pete Wilkinson, but not all will know about this book. Finding a niche in business is perhaps the most powerful thing you can do right now. This book is a goldmine. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3lyp1mt
  5. Permission to screw up by Kristen Hadeed – Possibly the best book on leadership I’ve ever read.If you’ve ever complained that ‘people these days just don’t want to work’ then this book will help. As more often than not, it’s not the ability of the staff member that’s lacking, it’s the ability of you as a manager to get the best out of your staff. Kristen tells the ups and downs on how she managed to build a cleaning company that only employs student millennials. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3dhKxaA
  6. Can’t hurt me, by David Goggins – This powerful autobiography tells the story of a former navy seal who went from a weak-minded boy to one of the hardest muthafuckas on the planet. Easy my favourite book on ‘mindset’. It’s the only book I’ve ever read twice. If you want to improve your mental resilience, this book will change your life. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/31qFqlZ
  7. Start with why, by Simon Sinek – Understanding your ‘why’ is critical to everything we do. If you don’t wake up energised and focused then you don’t know your ‘why’. A fantastic book for business and life. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3Eop1gc
  8. The three signs of a miserable job, by Patrick Lencioni – Another book on leadership and management. This will help you get more out of your employees. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3IgPIWF
  9. The pumpkin plan, by Mike Michalowicz – Growing a business with the right foundations if tough. This book will show you how to identify your strengths and focus in on how to make your dream company. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3ojwFTx
  10. Limitless, by Jim Kwik – If you’ve ever felt your brain is not as sharp as it once was, then this will help. Jim shows you how to unlock the full potential of your brain. You’ll learn everything from how to read twice as fast, and how to improve your memory. – Buy on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3Gac5eC
