How to attract customers on auto-pilot…for FREE!

Do you struggle to find time for your business social media?

Are you loosing potential customers because you aren’t posting regularly?

Do you post at all the wrong times because your schedule doesn’t compliment your target customer’s?

As a painter and decorator, you can be forgiven for neglecting your social media efforts. After all, you’re too busy working most of the time.

You can’t be expected to down tools and post on social media throughout the day.

However, there is a solution…and best of all….it’s FREE!

Imagine you could do all your social media posts for a full week in 30 minutes on a Sunday night.

This is what Hootsuite lets you do.

With Hootsuite, you can create and schedule social media posts on your:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube
  • Pinterest

With Hootsuite you can sort out the core of your social media in advance. So, you don’t have to worry about it whilst you’re working.

You can be attracting new customers on auto-pilot.

And thanks to the scheduling feature, you can make sure you post at all the best times during the day, so that you get maximum engagement.

How to do it?

Well, the first thing you need to do is sign up to a website called Hootsuite.

Don’t just go to the main page. As they make it very difficult to find the free account.

Use this secret link:

The free version will let you connect 3 of your social media accounts and let you schedule 30 posts a month.

More than enough to get started.

Here’s a step by step guide to help you through setting up and scheduling your first post:

Click the link I gave you earlier and you’ll see the above screen. Select the free account.

Connect the 3 social media accounts you get the best results from. For me it was Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You’ll then see this screen. I recommend you go to your dashboard to familiarise yourself with the platform.

Your dashboard will look like this. On the left hand side you can choose to start creating and scheduling posts, see a calendar of the posts you’ve already scheduled or see ‘streams’ (which is what you see in the image above)

When you start creating a post to schedule you’ll be promoted to say which platform you want to post to. You can choose to post to all 3 social media platforms at once if you like!

In the above screenshot I decided to post just to Twitter and typed in the messgae ‘Morning all!’

You get a preview of what it’ll look like on the right hand side. If you are posting to multiple social media sites, you’ll see multiple previews.

You’ll know exactly what it’ll look like before you post.

Just like when you use social media normally, you can add photos and videos. You can also see a whole range of free images and gifs.

Here I am adding a free gif

Next you choose to either post it immediately or to schedule a date a time instead.

I suggest you schedule the posts to go out through the week at the times when your target customers are most likely to be online. Usually this is early morning, lunch times and evenings after 7pm. Weekends can also be good.

Play around with the timings and see what gets the best engagement. Then focus in and be consistent on those times.

You then get a final look at what your post will look like and when it’ll be sent out.

Hit the schedule button and you’ll then be taken to the calendar.

Here you can easily see when and where you have posts scheduled across all your social media platforms. This will make it nice and easy to make sure you have a consistent stream of content going out to potential customers.

And that’s it! Done!

It’s super easy to use and I’m sure it’ll help you grow your business.

A little bit of time once a week and you can stop worrying about your social media as you work.

Have a look through your gallery, pick some good before and after images and schedule to post them throughout the week.

When you know your social media is taken care of it’ll help you focus on other things.

Let me know if you give it a go. Would love to hear how you get on.

NB: I do not work for, nor am I affiliated with Hootsuite in any way.
